The Ethical Property Foundation helps charities, community groups and social enterprises with their property problems and project delivery by providing property advice, consultancy and training through our Property Advice Service.

Since 2004, we have helped over 2,500 organisations rent, buy, let or manage property. The service we provide ranges from answering quick questions through to on-going and in-depth support. Our free diagnostic service has saved organisations thousands of pounds by helping them to understand the terms and conditions of their leases; avoid expensive property mistakes; and to take a strategic view of property assets. We aim to build the skills of those we help so they are better able to deal with premises related issues.

The Ethical Property Foundation has a legacy of helping communities become more active and independent in a number of ways:

  • By offering help to any community group about all aspects of property, we are ensuring that organisations are receiving independent and appropriate advice for their groups needs. This may be advice that they could not source without a significant cost to their group.
  • We have a ‘register’ of property professionals who work pro bono or at a reduced rate if they are referred by us.  The register allows access to professionals that may have been financially prohibitive for communities if they are expected to pay market rates. We also aim to get groups ‘professional ready’.
  • Our website contains a lot of useful and relevant information for groups, wherever they may be in the property cycle.
  • We offer training that aims to up-skill communities so that their dealings with property are based from a position of knowledge.
